Nic Couronneau

Nic joined Microsoft’s Applied Sciences Group (ASG) in July 2024.

His background focusses on the intersection of deep tech and product strategy, with experience ranging from large tech companies to early-stage startups.  He began his career in autonomous vehicles, working as an algorithm engineer at BAE Systems and NVIDIA.

Nic later moved into the startup and scale-up space, where he developed an interest in applying product management to A.I. research.  His roles included developing navigation systems at FocalPoint, engineering and product positions at Graphcore, and building cloud-based federated learning solutions at Apheris.

Nic holds an engineering degree from CentraleSupelec and a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Cambridge.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family.
