Norberto Goussies is a 2015 research engineer in the Applied Sciences Group at Microsoft, where he is working to develop new algorithms for 3D computer vision.

He recently finished his Ph.D. in the Computer Science department at the Universidad de Buenos Aires, Argentina.  His research is in the area of computer vision and pattern recognition. He has also done work in transfer learning, gesture recognition, and optical character recognition.  In 2009 he was a research intern at Microsoft Research (MSR) working in action recognition.

Besides research, Norberto likes travelling, music, and outdoor activities such as hiking.
