Vijay Ravi is a 2022 research intern in Microsoft’s Applied Sciences Group (ASG).

He is currently a 4th year Ph.D. student at UCLA, advised by Prof. Abeer Alwan.  His academic research is on speech-representation learning for modelling of mental health disorders.  He received his master’s in electrical engineering from UCLA in 2019 and a B.E. in electronics and communication from VTU, India in 2015.  His primary research interests are speech and language processing for healthcare applications.

In his free time, Vijay enjoys hiking and photography.
