Xiaoran is a 2021 research intern in Microsoft’s Applied Sciences Group (ASG).

She is a Ph.D. candidate in the Computer Vision Lab at ETH Zurich.  Her research is focused on unsupervised novelty detection of abnormalities in magnetic-resonance-imaging (MRI) scans in order to enable efficient detection without acquiring densely annotated data from patients.  She also collaborates on topics such as image segmentation and image generation.

In her spare time, Xiaoran enjoys travelling, drawing, learning new languages, and playing video games.
