Intelligent Modeling Embracing Diversity For Promoting Regional Languages in New Education Policy

This study examines the role of regional and local languages in fostering educational quality, cultural preservation, inclusivity, and socio-economic development within the framework of India’s New Education Policy (NEP). By employing a mixed-methods approach that integrates government educational statistics, regional surveys, and ANOVA-based statistical analysis, the research assesses the impact of language medium on academic performance and community engagement. Data collected from 600 students across five diverse Indian regions revealed that bilingual instruction (regional language + English) produces the highest mean academic score (81.2%) with the lowest variability, followed closely by regional-language-only instruction (78.4%). Additionally, regions with higher regional language usage reported significantly stronger cultural participation and community engagement, with the North-East leading in both metrics. ANOVA results confirmed that the medium of instruction has a statistically significant effect on academic performance (F=10.87, p<0.00005). The findings underscore that integrating regional languages into mainstream education not only enhances learning outcomes but also strengthens cultural identity, social cohesion, and equitable access. This study advocates for the NEP’s multilingual model as a strategic pathway to sustainable and inclusive educational reform.
